What We Believe

In terms of our church’s broad theological tradition we are Non-denominational, Historic, Protestant, Complementarian, and Baptistic:

  • We are a Non-Denominational church and belong to the Association of Hill Country Churches

  • We affirm the Historic Creeds (Apostles’ Creed, Nicene Creed, Athanasian Creed, Chalcedonian Creed)

  • We follow the theological tradition of the Protestant Reformation (Sola scriptura, Solus Christus, Sola fide, Sola gratia, Soli Deo gloria)

  • We are Complementarian and agree with the CBMW with regard to God’s design for men, women, gender roles, sexuality, and marriage (Danvers Statement and Nashville Statement)

  • We are Baptistic in that we practice believer’s baptism by immersion (and align with the Baptist Confession of Faith)

For a brief summary of our church’s particular beliefs, we have outlined our Core Doctrines below.
